Bill Manning Officially Out As Toronto FC President

Former executive oversaw Toronto FC and Argonauts championships

Leafs Sports Entertainment announced Manning's departure Monday

Bill Manning is officially out as president of Toronto FC. The Maple Leafs Sports and Entertainment executive oversaw Toronto FC and Argonauts championships during his tenure, which began in 2015.

Manning added the presidency of the Argonauts to his portfolio in 2019. He was also responsible for BMO Field and the Toronto FC II development team.

MLSE announced Manning's departure in a statement on Monday. The company thanked Manning for his "significant contributions" to the organization and wished him well in his future endeavors.

No reason was given for Manning's departure. However, it comes amidst a period of change for MLSE. The company recently hired a new CEO, Michael Friisdahl, and is in the process of selling the Argos.

Manning's departure is a significant loss for MLSE. He was a key figure in the company's success over the past several years. It remains to be seen who will replace Manning as president of Toronto FC and the Argos.
